Climate Ready - Supporting Irish Businesses to Become Climate Ready< back to news

Minister Simon Harris, Minister Eamon Ryan and Skillnet Ireland Chief Executive, Paul Healy, launched a new five-year Climate Ready initiative on April 7. The programme offers Irish businesses the practical skills and insights needed to respond to climate change and manage the challenges and opportunities that transitioning to a low-carbon economy presents.


Climate Ready will see Skillnet Ireland, together with the private sector, invest over €10 million in preparing businesses for climate change from 2021-2025. Partnering with Chambers Ireland, Wind Energy Ireland, Sustainable Finance Ireland and Central Solutions, the initiative will support over 1,100 companies and 3,000 workers throughout Ireland in its first year. 

Climate Ready offers several pathways for businesses to build sustainable operating models and develop green talent, including the Climate Ready Academy, Climate Ready Cluster and Climate Ready Insights. Further information is availablle here.
