Join us on Thursday, April 3, 2025, for an insightful ACEI webinar exploring the Development of the District Heating and Biomethane Sectors in Ireland.
🔹 Why attend?
Ireland has one of the largest biomethane production potentials in Europe per capita. With a government commitment to producing 5.7 TWh of indigenous biomethane by 2030, this sector is rapidly expanding—bringing key opportunities for energy, sustainability, and infrastructure development.
At the same time, district heating networks are gaining momentum as a vital tool in Ireland’s climate action plan, with a target to meet 10% of heat demand by 2030. These networks will improve energy efficiency, cut emissions, and support Ireland’s transition to a low-carbon future.
🔹 Key Speaker:
🗣 Seán Kinsella – Principal Officer, Renewable Heat Delivery Division, Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications
Seán leads Ireland’s district heating projects, the National Biomethane Strategy, and the Renewable Heat Obligation Scheme. He will share exclusive insights into government initiatives, funding opportunities, and what’s next for these crucial sectors.
