Key Speakers: 

Charlie Brophy leads the Electricity Storage and Hydrogen Policy section in the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment. His role includes the overseeing the development of the National Hydrogen Programme to implement the Government’s National Hydrogen Strategy and to lead the implementation of the Government’s Policy Framework for Electricity Storage. He previously worked in Department of Agriculture and Department of Transport.

Gearóid FitzGerald  works in the Hydrogen Policy section in the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment. Currently on secondment from Gas Networks Ireland, his role includes the delivery of the implementation plan for the Government’s National Hydrogen Strategy. He has worked in the energy sector in Ireland for the past twenty years, recently as the hydrogen commercial manager  for Gas Networks Ireland.
