Susan Cormican < back to executive board

Susan has been working as a Building Engineering Consultant for the past 26 years. Graduating as a process engineer in 1992 Susan spent the first 3 years of her career working on the design of electrical infrastructure before completing an MSc in Building services in 1999. Susan joined Buro Happold when they established a multi disciplinary consultancy in 2000 and was part of the leadership of the Dublin office until she was invited to lead the M&E team at PH McCarthy in 2006. After PH McCarthy were bought out by WYG, Susan moved to Arup where she spent a very enjoyable 8 years in their Dublin office working on a wide range of projects at home and abroad including experience in the UK, Denmark, South Korea & Portugal.

Susan joined Ethos Engineering in 2016 as an Operations Director and currently leads one of the five teams in this 80 strong company. Susan and her team at Ethos, which includes the recently opened Galway office, are currently delivering an impressive portfolio of projects including significant healthcare buildings such as the New Children’s Hospital Satellite Centres at Blanchardstown and Tallaght, National Rehabilitation Hospital Phase 1 Expansion, Radiation Oncology buildings in Dublin, Cork and Galway, and a number of projects in Blackrock Clinic.
