The winning project in this category is College Square by Waterman Moylan. Located in Tara Street, Dublin, the scheme comprises 540,000 square metres of office space in towers of 9-11 stories and residential accommodation in a 22-story tower over a double basement. 

The design team overcame the substantial structural challenges and constraints posed in supporting the tower and the floor plates and in accommodating a new diagonal pedestrian route through the site. With initiative-taking and collaborative effort, the team developed inventive solutions and using detailed analysis justified the innovative and bespoke details needed to deliver these solutions.  

The project illustrates the ability of structural engineers to innovatively solve problems in a way that allowed their client to realize the vision and ambition of this this new landmark in the city.
