A large, complex project on a tight, brownfield site for which the consultant provided a broad range of services. The scheme comprises 37,000m2 of office, residential, retail and cultural uses in three landmark tapered towers over a three storey basement. The works included the restoration of five historic assets with the Consulting Engineer providing key advice on which older structures could viably be retained and which could not. Ambitious carbon measures were incorporated into the project such as NZEB into listed buildings. A new pedestrian bridge and two new plazas enhance local access and permeability.
