A 17-storey block with 16,000m2 of office and 1,000 m2 of roof space. The scheme attained WiredScore Platinum, LEED Platinum (as a European first) and a BER A3 rating. Designed in accordance with the BCO, BREEAM, LEED and CIBSE standards, by incorporating CHP plant and thermal storage, the Exo achieved NZEB compliance. The MEP system was designed with high efficiency boilers and free cooling chillers to provide constant, uniform, and controllable comfort throughout. Roof mounted CHP plant contributes to offsetting both the electrical and thermal demands. The building has the option of connecting to the DCC District Heating System.
