EFCA launches guidelines to help project managers optimise the use of ISO 19650

EFCA believes it is of value to get a better grasp on the new ways of working together and adopt a more digital approach, thereby speaking the same language. The EFCA booklet will help all stakeholders optimise their use of the ISO 19650 standard.

Using 3D modelling software, layering it with data, and working very closely with all partners in construction and engineering projects is critical if European companies are to survive in the challenging and rapidly changing market.

Building information modelling (BIM) is a digital information management approach. It means a more efficient use of resources, more effective communications and therefore collaboration within the partnership, greater flexibility and improved long-term planning.

The BIM Booklet is available in flipbook format here.  It is also available in PDF format here.

NOTE that the web link provided in appendix 3 of the BIM Booklet will go live later in the summer.
