ACEI is pleased to announce the election of new President for 2021-2022, David McHugh, BE, MBA, CEng, MIEI, C.WEM MCIWEM,  FConsEI.

 

David has been a member of the ACEI Executive Board since 2017 and has undertaken several roles including Convenor of the Sustainability Committee, Second Vice-President and Vice-President. As Convenor of the Sustainability Committee, David drove the development of ACEI’s Sustainability Vision, launched at the annual conference on 3 March 2021.

 

David is a Director with RPS Ireland, responsible for Renewable Energy and Business Development.   He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng MIEI), a Fellow of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (FConsEI) and a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager (C.WEM, MCIWEM).  

 

He has over 25 years of consulting experience, encompassing engineering and management consultancy.  David has technical expertise in the disciplines of renewable energy and environmental engineering.  In addition to his technical skills, David has extensive experience in the consulting disciplines of strategy, operations improvement and change management. 

 

David is a member of the Trustee Board and the immediate Past President of CIWEM, the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management.   He is passionate about environmental sustainability, which drives his professional and personal pursuits.

 

The ACEI Executive Board 2021-2022 looks forward to continuing working together with David to achieve ACEI’s objectives.
