Elected ACEI President Kevin Rudden to promote Business Integrity Management with member companies. Mr. Kevin Rudden B.Sc.Eng,Dip.Eng,DLS,C.Eng.MIEI,Eur.Ing,F.Cons.E.I.
has been elected President of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI) for the term 2015/2016). He accepted his chain of office from the outgoing President, Mr. Brian Homan at a ceremony in ACEI’s Merrion Square Office on 16th April 2015.


Kevin is CEO of GARLAND, an International firm of Civil & Structural Consulting Engineers, Project Managers, Safety & Health Consultants and Economic Development Consultants. GARLAND, established in 1937, is one of the oldest and largest indigenous firms of Consulting Engineers in Ireland. He is also Chairman of Pivotal International, a Multi Disciplinary Firm of Design Consultants operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UK. Kevin is a Board Member of the European Federation of Consulting Engineering Associations (EFCA).

Kevin has acted as Convenor of the joint ACEI – Engineers Ireland Committee on Safety and Health Legislation since 2006. He serves on the Construction Safety Partnership and Construction Advisory Committee of the HSA. He represented EFCA at the European Construction Safety Forum for 3 years. This experience in relation to Safety & Health in both Ireland and Europe clearly identifies Kevin as one of the most experienced professionals in Construction Safety & Health in the Country.

The Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI) – established in 1938 - is a voluntary self-regulatory professional body representing the business and professional interests of firms and individuals engaged in Consulting Engineering.

As the voice of the Consulting Engineering profession, it assists in resolving issues of importance for clients and Consultants alike and contributes to the development of relevant public policy through involvement in Working Groups, Government Committees, and the development of model Conditions of Engagement, and policy papers, etc.
