Post Graduate Diploma Health and Safety in Construction 2017-2018< back to trainings

Location: Museum Building, Trinity College, Dublin 2

This one-year postgraduate course is designed to enable Civil and Structural Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, Contract Managers, and other construction professionals to become familiar with the latest developments in Health and Safety legislation and practice.  In addition, the course will provide them with the knowledge necessary to perform the roles of Project Supervisor Design Process, Project Supervisor Construction Stage, Health and Safety Coordinator, Safety Advisor, and Safety Officer.  In general, the issue of Health and Safety related competency in design and on construction sites is comprehensively dealt with in this programme.  Risk Management is a major element of the course.  

This is a CPD approved course and is worth up to 20 days formal CPD credit with Engineers Ireland.  It is also approved by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).  Students who successfully complete the programme will be eligible to apply for graduate level membership of IOSH.  Closing date for applications is 15th September, 2017.
