The exceptional Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge incorporates the longest extrados concrete span deck in the world. The successful delivery and oversight of a complex primary road project was enabled by the selection of this elegant, innovative bridge across the river Barrow at New Ross.
In the first stage, the preliminary design and options process produced a world-class solution perfectly in tune with its landscape setting. This advanced, and aesthetically high quality design, enabled the client to expediently achieve planning approval.
In the construction stage, the project evidenced cutting-edge design and planning to successfully complete a hugely complex structure, delivering a major, new landmark bridge for Ireland's South-East region. Together, the concept and delivery stages realised state-of-the-art design of the highest international standard.
