PUNCH Consulting Engineers were the winners of the 2018 ACEI Award in the Civil - Medium Category for their project, Limerick Smarter Travel Route.
Limerick Smarter Travel Route is a shared walking and cycling facility located along the City Canal and the south bank of the River Shannon linking the city centre and Corbally to the University of Limerick. It incorporates the rehabilitation of the “old towpath” while at the same time introducing a new sustainable commuter link, particularly for university students and staff. A very high standard of design was achieved in its development.
