The visit to Galway, the last of the regional visits by President Derrick Edge, Seosamh O’Ruairc Honorary Secretary and Anne Potter Executive Director was both innovative and successful. There was an excellent attendance in the Radisson SAS Hotel and we are very grateful to our vice Pres. Eamonn Waldron and Executive Member Mary McCann for their assistance with the local arrangements.

In addition to the rolling Powerpoint Presentation of projects submitted by members in the area there were presentations on ACEI membership, Implications for Engineers of the Draft H & S Regulations and the proposed new Government Contracts.

Our Past Presidents from “across the Shannon” Frank McGrath and Sean Gannon ensured a warm Galway welcome and added to the success of the evening.
