A Tutorial Workshop on Eurocode EC2 – Design of Concrete Structures is being presented jointly by the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland,
The Institution of Structural Engineers (Republic of Ireland Branch) and The Irish Concrete Society.

This one-day course is aimed at practising consulting engineers with experience in concrete design. The tutorial will be limited to a small group and will involve interactive design sessions following examples in accordance with the Irish National Annex & EC2. A set of worked examples will be provided to participants.

Participants will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the Concrete Society publication ‘Concise Eurocode 2’ at a substantially discounted rate.

Lunch will be provided.

The Course is CPD accredited and a certificate of attendance will be awarded.

The course shall be presented from 9:00 a.m. -  5.00 p.m.
at DIT - Bolton Street on Wednesday 27th October 2010

Principal Structural Engineer with MPA -The Concrete Centre Currently working on the implementation of Eurocode 2 in the UK

Mr Robin Whittle
MA(Cantab), CEng, MICE

Involved with the development of UK and European Codes for the use of structural concrete. Mr Whittle, an Arup consultant, is part of the Project Team which drafted Eurocode 2.

Mr Jim Mansfield
RConsEI, CEng, BE,
FIEI, MIStructE

National Liaison Engineer representing Ireland and actively involved in the implementation of EC2 and EC6.
